Alia Bhatt Wants To Give A Deaf Ear To Kangana Ranaut: Says, “Main Bas Chup Rahungi”

Now, Alia has now given a deaf ear to the Manikarnika actress' constant negative comments. At the recently held Critics Choice Film Awards 2019, the Kalank actress told reporters, “Agar main aisi hu, then my family is 10 times more mature and stronger than I am. Mujhe isme paddna hi nahi hai. I just want to be happy, positive, work hard, be a better version of myself every day. Log kya kahe, log kya na kahe, I should not pay attention to it. And everybody has a right to say what they want to say. Main bas chup rahugi, that's my thing.”

Earlier, during an interview with Bollywoodlife, Kangana Ranaut had said that she was embarrassed of being compared to Alia Bhatt. The Queen actress had told the entertainment portal, “I am embarrassed...What is there to beat in Gully Boy performance ....same snappy muh phat girl... Bollywood’s idea of a fiery girl, woman empowerment and good acting, spare me this embarrassment, please. Media have taken filmy kids love too far. Stop pampering mediocre work or else bar will never be raised.”

In fact, the very next day, Alia had also given it back to the actress in the best way possible. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, when Alia was asked about Kangana calling her work in Gully Boy ‘mediocre’ she had replied, “I respect Kangana’s work a lot and I respect her opinion. If she feels a particular way she must have reason to feel that way. I would rather remember how much she had praised me after watching Raazi. And I’d just like to focus on my work. Maybe she will appreciate me again if I work hard enough.”

Alia’s last release, Kalank, which also stars Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt, is running successfully in India. This morning, we brought you its box-office collection and the film has garnered a total collection of Rs 66.03 cr so far in India.
